I'd like to thank you for helping me through my bout with Bell's Palsy. Your expertise undoubtedly helped speed my recovery and perhaps even prevented permanent damage. As you had stated during my initial consultation, significant improvement wouldn't appear until after several sessions. However, even after only one visit, I experienced improved blood flow to the affected area, which of course helped the healing process. Soon thereafter, the pain and annoying ear sensitivity that was plaguing me ceased and facial movement began to markedly improve.
In addition to the positive effect on my facial paralysis, the sessions helped me relax a great deal and gave me an overall sense of well-being. The entire experience was very pleasant, and I would, without hesitation, recommend you to anyone looking for effective treatment for a variant of ailments. Also, Patricia is very kind and friendly - she is certainly an asset to your practice.

To anyone who is in pain:
I
am writing this as I wait treatment for arthritis in my right knee. This
condition results from an operation on that knee 38 years ago. I have
had a lot of time to get used to the slight difference between knees but
the first 30 years were painless.
Once I started having pain, it grew worse, and I was
having trouble getting to sleep at nights. I took a lot of ibuprofen,
tried various creams and ointments, and applied heat - all with unsatisfying
results. Then I tried acupuncture. A series of treatments eliminated the
pain and greatly increased flexibility.
Now, several years later, it began to hurt and stiffen
up again. I am playing volleyball several times a week, so I am used to
pain, but why suffer if you don't have to.
I knew it was time for more treatments, so I made appointment
with Dr. Lau. It was a wise choice after a very thorough and precise discussion
of my medical history and specific condition. I had my first treatment,
things started improving immediately the knee felt better and moved better.
I could walk normally again after years of limping.
Today is my fifth treatment and I'm even thinking about
taking my wife dancing. For anyone who has pain or poor flexibility, I
strongly recommend acupuncture. In particular, I recommend the skill of
Dr. Lau. He is a concerned and caring, and highly skilled practitioner
of and ancient effective healing art.

I came
to try acupuncture when a sty in my eye failed to respond to traditional
medical treatment.
I was faced with having a cortisone shot in the eye which I would not
allow.
I felt acupuncture was worth a try. After treatments by Dr. Lau, the sty
disappeared.
I am grateful to Dr. Lau and would recommend acupuncture for any problem.

Thank
you so much for returning me to normal health! After 2½ years of
misery. I am finally feeling good again.
For 2½ years, I suffered repeated sinus
infections. I had constant nasal congestion, no sense of smell, episodic
hearing, chronic maxillary sinus pain and pressure. I eventually developed
asthma as well.
I have been on antibiotics repeatedly prescription allergy
medications, steroids, inhalers, nasal sprays and myriad over the counter
preparations, as well as herbs and vitamins.
In January 2002, I first came to your office suffering
all of my usual complaints. I experienced immediate mild relief of congestion
with my first treatment. By the fourth treatment my sense of smell was
restored. I have been well since! No medications, no asthma inhalers and
no complaints.
On two occasions, allergies flared and my sinuses threatened.
Each time, I came immediately for an acupuncture treatment and my symptoms
disappeared.
For me, acupuncture broke the cycle for recurring sinus
infections and continues to work as a powerful preventative.

I'm writing to thank you for your treatment of my headaches. Before seeing you, I was diagnosed by a neurologist as having Complex Headache Syndrome. For three years, I had been suffering from a nagging pain in my right temple and eye, four or five days a week. Often these headaches would develop into migraines. I had tried many, many different treatments and medications. The acupuncture treatments have greatly diminished my pain. Dear Dr. Lau,
I want to express my thanks to you and your staff for your professional
and wonderful care throughout my acupuncture treatments.
Working as a nurse in an inpatient hospital setting requires a lot of
physical demands. For me, because of my history of scoliosis since childhood
plus the daily lifting, bending, etc. at work, my lower back was extremely
aggravated causing lower back pain and sciatica everyday.
As you know, I had sought out traditional medical treatment and had been
following a regular exercise program without relief. I did not want to
take anti-inflammatory medications which can upset the stomach.
I decided to try acupuncture as an alternative treatment upon the suggestion
of my husband. After a few treatments, I noticed improvement. By the seventh
treatment the sciatica was completely gone. My lower back pain has improved
by 90%. The stiffness in my lower back has improved considerably.
I am very pleased with the results of treatment. I have recommended acupuncture
to many of my colleagues at work who suffer from pain as a result of working
as a nurse. I would not hesitate to return for further treatment if needed.

Dear Dr. Lau,
I'm writing this letter so that I can thank you for making me pain free. I had one year of excruciating pain due to tendinitis in my left ankle. I tried two different orthopedists - one gave me a cortisone shot, and the other suggested that I "live with it". I became frustrated and angry due to the pain and swelling and limping, trying to lead a normal active life.
I finally tried acupuncture, with much skepticism I might add, but I am now an ardent believer. I am now 100% without pain and swelling and so happy I could sing. And I have.

I am writing to thank you for your help with my muscle spasms. Acupuncture

I have been plagued by headaches all my life, but they increased in severity

To whom it may concern:
I was, until quite
recently, highly concerned because of the urgent need which required me
to relieve my bladder at least every ½ to ¾'s of an hour
during the day time. I was forced to arise at night 4 to 5 times or more
for relief!
I tried certain remedies but none prevailed. Finally, I went to Dr Lau
for acupuncture treatments. This remedy was the right one for it was apparent
right after the first treatment and the cure was stabilized after 7 or
8 treatments!
This truly amazed me because of the quick and definitive results since
there was no longer the acute urgency and normal frequency prevailed.
I commend Dr. Lau for his healing skills and superior " bedside manner"
which was one of a concerned doctor! The doctors staff was also very gracious
and helpful!

It has been over a month since my last treatment. I have a neck injury
and Dr. Lau has helped relieve my pain and headaches. The relief is temporary
but it is much better then taking pain medications and having surgery
that has no guarantee.
I feel acupuncture helps a great deal, but you need to have regular treatments.
I hope someday acupuncture will be covered under medical insurance. Everyone
at Dr. Lau's is very helpful and friendly.
